China – Trung Quốc tên chính thức là Cộng hòa Nhân dân Trung Hoa, là một quốc gia ở Đông Á. Đây là quốc gia đông dân nhất thế giới, với dân số hơn 1,4 tỷ người. Có diện tích khoảng 9,6 triệu km2 (3,7 triệu m2), đây là quốc gia lớn thứ ba hoặc thứ tư trên thế giới. Quốc gia này chính thức được chia thành 23 tỉnh, 5 khu tự trị, và 4 các thành phố trực thuộc kiểm soát của Bắc Kinh (thủ đô), Thiên Tân, Thượng Hải (thành phố lớn nhất) và Trùng Khánh, cũng như hai đặc khu hành chính Hồng Kông và Ma Cao.

Về danh nghĩa, Trung Quốc là một nước cộng hòa xã hội chủ nghĩa độc đảng nhất thể. Nước này là thành viên thường trực của Hội đồng Bảo an Liên hợp quốc và là thành viên sáng lập của một số tổ chức hợp tác đa phương và khu vực như Ngân hàng Đầu tư Cơ sở hạ tầng Châu Á, Quỹ Con đường Tơ lụa, Ngân hàng Phát triển Mới, Tổ chức Hợp tác Thượng Hải và Toàn diện Khu vực.

Sau cải cách kinh tế năm 1978 và gia nhập Tổ chức Thương mại Thế giới năm 2001, nền kinh tế Trung Quốc trở thành quốc gia lớn thứ hai tính theo GDP danh nghĩa vào năm 2010 và tăng trưởng lớn nhất thế giới tính theo PPP vào năm 2014. Trung Quốc là quốc gia phát triển nhanh nhất thế giới nền kinh tế lớn, quốc gia giàu có thứ hai trên thế giới, đồng thời là nhà sản xuất và xuất khẩu lớn nhất thế giới.
