Planet Earth – Trái đất là hành tinh thứ ba tính từ Mặt trời và là đối tượng thiên văn duy nhất được biết đến là nơi chứa đựng và hỗ trợ sự sống. Khoảng 29,2% bề mặt Trái đất là đất liền bao gồm lục địa và hải đảo. 70,8% còn lại được bao phủ bởi nước, chủ yếu là đại dương, biển, vịnh và các vùng nước mặn khác, nhưng cũng có hồ, sông và nước ngọt khác, cùng tạo thành thủy quyển.
Phần lớn các vùng cực của Trái đất được bao phủ trong băng. Lớp ngoài của Trái đất được chia thành một số mảng kiến tạo cứng di chuyển trên bề mặt trong nhiều triệu năm, trong khi bên trong của nó vẫn hoạt động với lõi bên trong bằng sắt rắn, lõi bên ngoài lỏng tạo ra từ trường của Trái đất và lớp phủ đối lưu dẫn động các mảng kiến tạo.
